"Quality means doing it right when no one is looking"
For us at Ambronite, quality is our key focus in the ingredient selection, sourcing the ingredients, manufacturing and packaging the foods.
Here you can find our quality standards for different markers and learn about our quality process.
Every Ambronite manufacturing batch is tested
Every Ambronite manufacturing batch is tested in 3rd party laboratories. Every time we produce Ambronite, we run heavy metal tests and microbiological quality tests.
Every Ambronite pouch can be tracked to the specific batch, and it is marked on the bottom-right corner in the back label of our products, e.g. “LOT12”.
We select the best possible ingredients
We go to great lengths finding the best possible ingredients for our products. It’s a combination of quality and taste that we are looking for.
Our ingredients come from over 10 different countries -- we source them from the best origins and it varies ingredient by ingredient.
For example, Italy is one of the best source for almonds, and there is plenty of almond farming in the southern Italy in Sicily. Challenge with almonds is that they are many times a bit moldy and bitter tasting. For Ambronite, we’ve sourced samples from all major farms in Italy and tested all of them, to find the one which has the best taste and quality.
Everytime we take a new ingredient vendor in, we ask and carefully examine their CoAs (Certification of Analysis) and product specifications, and on top of this, run 3rd party lab tests ourselves to make sure their promises match the reality.
And just to be clear for people who worry about it, we never source anything from Mainland China.
We are not dogmatic about ‘organic’ labeling
We seek for quality instead of stamps.
That’s why we for instance use wild grown bilberries from Finland and natural spirulina from California, instead of lower quality organic ingredient from China
We work with best possible partners
Everything starts from working with the best possible partners. Ambronite is produced in facilities that follow European Union (EU) food laws and regulations, including good manufacturing practices (GMP) and HACCP.
In addition, our manufacturing partner’s practices are approved and supervised by the Finnish Organic Certification and Inspection Body Evira (FI-EKO-201)
Our manufacturing facilities are FDA registered
According to US FDA regulations foreign food facilities that produce food imported to USA must be FDA registered.
Microbiological quality
For each manufacturing batch we test microbiological quality. We analyse the amount of most common microorganisms or bacteria in a 3rd party lab to make sure the powder is clean and healthy to consume. We analyse following microbiological markers:
- Yeast
- Mould
- Coliform bacteria 37°C
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- Escherichia coli (Ecoli)
- Salmonella
Heavy metal testing
Pretty much all foods we eat today has trace amount of heavy metals in them. Heavy metals such as arsenic occur in Earth naturally and purposefully, and some of the metals are also essential for humans (such as zinc and iron), and most are relatively harmless. That said, large amounts or certain type of heavy metals can be harmful. That’s why we test heavy metals from every manufacturing batch.
For the powder we use following heavy metal thresholds:
Heavy metal: Limit
Arsenic, As <0.5 mg/kg
Mercury, Hg <0.05 mg/kg
Cadmium, Cd <0.05 mg/kg
Lead, Pb <0.05 mg/kg
These are most commonly tested four toxic heavy metals. Long-term exposure to these toxic heavy metals can have carcinogenic, central and peripheral nervous system and circulatory effects. Depending on the circumstances, the effects can vary significantly. Learn more about our heavy metal testing and limits.

Transforming humans and planet from surviving to thriving
Hopefully this page served you as a resource to understand our commitment to quality. We developed Ambronite initially for ourselves, and our teams members use the products daily. We naturally want to be rest assured the products we consume ourselves are safe and clean.
